We performed single cell RNA sequencing to investigate the gene expression changes upon maternal stress in progeny drosophila posterior midgut. Overall design: We induced maternal metabolic stress by expressing InR-DN in the female germline. These InR-DN expressing females were mated it orgeon R males and allowed to grow to adult hood. We also rescues the effects of the InR-DN transgene by feeding mothers methionine. Posterior midguts of the progeny flies (maternally stressed,control and rescued/methionine fed) progeny drosophila were dissected, diassociated, and put into a 10XGeneomics scRNA-Seq pipeline with assistance form the UTSW sequencing facility.
