Microbial assemblages associated to crop residues

Crop residues are a crucial ecological niche having significant impact on agricultural ecosystems. Here, we investigated the dynamics of these communities in three plots during a two-year wheat-oilseed rape rotation experiment. We demonstrated that crop residues are a pivotal, shifting platform that should be took into account as a whole microbial ecosystem to manage residues-borne disease.
