Growth of selected ICMP fungi on various media

This dataset comprises information on the growth of 32 fungal isolates on seven different media. Fungi were provided by Manaaki Whenua—Landcare Research from the International Collection of Microorganisms from Plants (ICMP) (https://www.landcareresearch.co.nz/tools-and-resources/collections/icmp-culture-collection/). We first grew each fungal isolate on Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA). Once grown, using a sterile scalpel, we excised cubes (1 cm) from the growing edge and placed single cubes onto the centre of 90 mm Petri dishes containing either PDA, Czapek Solution Agar (CSA), Czapek Yeast Extract Agar (CYA), Malt Extract Agar (MEA), Oatmeal Agar (OA), Rice Extract Agar (REA), and Water Agar (WA). Petridishes were incubated at room temperature, and we measured the diameter of each fungus at regular intervals over 60 days.
