RNAseq reads from eukaryotic phytoplankton samples through Euphotic Zone depth profiles in the California Current Upwelling Zone

The "Molecular Underpinnings of Silicification In the California Current" (MUSiCC) cruise was study to linking biogeochemical, physiological, and molecular aspects of diatom silicification in field populations. The cruise was conducted aboard the R/V Oceanus Sur 19 April - 1 May 2015. The magnitude of PAR at incident irradiance (I0) just below the surface (I0) was used to determine the depths at which PAR was 55%, 36%, 14%, 5%, and 1% I0.
