<b>Safety of surgery for managing hyperthyroidism in patients with or without preoperative euthyroidism: A systematic review and meta-analysis</b>

Clinicians managing hyperthyroid patients who have not yet achieved euthyroid status often face the clinical dilemma of whether to delay surgery or proceed despite the risks. To address this challenge, this systematic review and meta-analysis evaluates postoperative outcomes in patients who were euthyroid versus those who remained hyperthyroid at the time of surgery, aiming to provide evidence-based insights into the safety and efficacy of surgical intervention in these situations.
