Dataset for The Bias of the Biomass - Different methods to determine spider biomass in ecological samples

This dataset contains all data, metadata (provided as spreadsheets in .xlsx and .csv formats) and R scripts used for the analyses presented in the study "The Bias of the Biomass – Different methods to determine spider biomass in ecological samples". The dataset contains measurements of spider body lengths and mass, data from the biomass estimation experiment, and the data used to evaluate different methods for estimating spider biomass in ecological samples. A README file providing detailed information on the data structure, variables, R scripts, and the steps required to reproduce the analyses and results presented in the study is also included. The README should be read first before using the data or R scripts. All voucher specimens sampled for the experiment dataset are located at the Natural History Museum Karlsruhe.
