The Center-periphery Project - The municipalities' relationship to the state and businesses, 1976

This data file contains data from a survey that was sent out as part of the work on "Maktutrednigen" which culminated in the public inquiry, NOU1982:3, in 1982.
More specifically, the file contains data from a survey on the municipalities' relationship with the state and businesses, which belongs to the centre-periphery project. Data were collected in 1976-77. Questionnaires were sent out to the mayor and the administrative manager (councillor, head of office and equivalent) in all municipalities. 81% of the mayors and 86% of the heads of administration responded to the survey. The answers can thus be seen as representative of all the country's mayors and heads of municipal administration in 1976/77.
In addition to answers from the questionnaire that was sent out to the mayors and municipal management, the survey contains data from NSD's municipal data bank and other public statistical information.
