Results and Codes for Antarctic Sea Ice Concentration (SIC) Prediction Using ASICast

1. Data Description The data include both predicted results, codes, and observed SIC. The predicted data, contains the predicted SIC from January, 1, 2024 to December, 31, 2025. The observed data is SIC in 2024 is provided by the University of Bremen (https://seaice.uni-bremen.de/sea-ice-concentration/amsre-amsr2/.), which can be used for validation. 2. SIC data Data Formats: GeoTIFF format. Temporal Coverage: Observed Data: January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. Predicted Data: January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025. Naming Convention: Files are named according to the date in the format YYYYMMDD.tif. Data Type: Single-band raster files with a float-32 data type. Projection System: Southern Polar Stereographic. Spatial Resolution: 6.25 km. 3. Predicted code Data Formats: py format. Function: Interpolation.py: Detects missing data dates and interpolates them to complete the dataset. Convert_nc_to_npy.py: Converts the data from Geotiff format to npy and merges them data into a yearly unified file. SIC_predict.py: Executes the prediction process using the ASICast model. Convert_npy_to_tif.py: Converts predicted SIC data from npy format to GeoTIFF, ensuring compatibility with GIS applications and spatial analysis tools. Antarctic_SIC_plot.py: Generates spatial visualizations of SIC data on a map.
