The Comparative Cabinets Dataset (CCD): 21 Parliamentary and Premier-Presidential Democracies, 1945–2023

This manually-collected dataset covers 754 democratic cabinets formed in Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, mostly from the end of World War II to 2023. It provides harmonized cabinet-level information on, inter alia, government duration and termination, coalition composition, ideological orientation, multiple dimensions of political fragmentation, technocratic participation, institutional constraints, and macroeconomic conditions.
