Expression difference of plasma microRNAs between colon adenocarcinoma with or without liver metastasis

Plasma from a cohort of 6 patients diagnosed with colon adenocarcinoma (3 with hepatic metastasis and 3 without) was selected to identify expression profiles by microRNAs high-throughput RNA-seq analysis. The purpose of this study was to detect the differences in miRNA expression profile of COAD patients with or without liver metastasis, and to explore the potential targets for diagnosis or treatment. Overall design: Peripheral venous blood was collected from each subject early in the morning on an empty stomach and total cell-free RNA was extracted from the plasma. Then, expression difference of miRNA was evaluated and used for subsequent analysis.
