Eastern Europe main reasons for using the internet 2023, by country

As of the third quarter of 2023, finding information was the main reason for using the internet across all selected Eastern European countries. In Russia, approximately 82 percent of internet users mentioned it as their primary reason for going online. In Czechia, over 60 percent said they used the internet to stay in touch with friends and family and keep up with news and events.
