eSIM Price Index: daily retail prices for travel mobile data, 239 countries

Observed retail prices for travel eSIM data plans, collected daily across 239 countries and territories from 17 resellers. There is no published rate card for this market: wholesale roaming is documented and in places regulated, while the retail layer that resellers build on top of it is not measured anywhere. This dataset measures it. Files. countries_latest.csv gives one row per country for the latest complete day: median and minimum USD price per gigabyte, plan count, reseller count, rank, and a sufficient_data flag. A median is published only where at least 5 plans from 3 providers were observed; below that threshold the field is empty, because a median over one plan is one reseller's price presented as a market price. world_history.csv is the global index over time. provider_history.csv gives each reseller's median over time, anonymised: the index reports the market, it does not rank vendors. Method. Prices are crawled daily and normalised to USD per gigabyte. Regional and global bundles are subtracted from country figures, unlimited plans are flagged and excluded from per-gigabyte aggregates, as are marketing bundles above 200 GB.
