This is a bronze sculpture by Rembrandt Bugatti (Milan, 1885 - Paris, 1916) completed in 1906. Born in 1885 in Milan, Rembrandt Bugatti arrvied in paris in 1902 and his animal sculptures, cast in bronze by Ernest Hébrard (a French architect, archaeologist and urban planner), made him famous at a young age. It's a regular of the museum where he would copy the animals 'on the spot'. The sculpture searched to find the more bizarre attitudes: here a pelican has its fing cast over its fellow creature. This object is part of Scan The World.
