The Daily Precipitation Composite was formed from several data sources (i.e., National Centers for Environmental Prediction daily precipitation, National Weather Service Cooperative Observers daily precipitation data, and the daily precipitation data extracted from the IHOP_2002 Mesonet: Hourly Precipitation Composite). Data from these sources were quality controlled and merged to form this precipitation composite. In July 2005 the Oklahoma Climatological Survey reprocessed and updated the Oklahoma Mesonet surface meteorological data. EOL has not updated the composite files, however the newer OKMESO data is available.
