Dataset for "Velocity space origins of pressure-strain interaction in multi-population distributions and its application to magnetic reconnection"

Simulation dataset for reproducing figures used in the manuscript. There are IDL codes provided inside folders named as Fig<x>.zip, where <x> is the number of the Figure in the manuscript. The naming convention of the IDL codes is plot_fig<x>_from_csv_standalone.pro, where <x> again is the number of the Figure in the manuscript. These IDL codes are standalone and require no user-built functions to run. They take the .csv files in Fig<x>.zip as input and plot the relevant figure panels (and a combined figure of all panels). Description regarding the .csv files can also be found in the read_me.txt file and in the standalone IDL codes. Users will need to change the filepaths as discussed in the read_me.txt accordingly. To run the IDL codes, type ".r plot_fig<x>_from_csv_standalone.pro" in the IDL console of IDL GUI, or one can open the IDL code in the IDLDE GUI and from there, run the code. Alternatively, in the command line version of IDL, one can run the IDL codes by typing ".r plot_fig<x>_from_csv_standalone.pro".
