Mesenchymal stem cells in synovial fluid increase in number in response to synovitis and display more tissue-reparative phenotypes in osteoarthritis

To investigate whether the gene expression profiles of synovial fluid mesenchymal stem cells (SF-MSCs) from rat OA knees were favorable for endogenous cartilage repair, we performed RNA sequencing for SF-MSCs from intact knees and knees 4 weeks after the pMx and sham surgery. Overall design: Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for SF-MSCs from intact knees and knees 4 weeks after the pMx and sham surgery.
