In vivo and in vitro experiments were conducted to assess how cinnamaldehyde impacts on immunity to infection. In a 2x2 factorial design, C57BL/6 mice were either infected with Heligmosomoides polygyrus (Hp) or not, and fed either cinnamaldehyde (CA) or a control diet. In addition, CMT93 murine epithelial cells were exposed in vitro to CA.
