Plant growth-promoting bacteria and fungi combined together to help the plant to uptake and utilize the nutrients from the soil. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and ectomycorrhizal fungi (ECMF) are the main fungi symbiosis with woody plants. Until now, little is known about the relationship between mycorrhizal fungi and plant growth-promoting microorganisms (PGPM) and their contribution to soil nutrient cycling, especially between different niches. Using high-throughput sequencing methods, we analyzed the diversity and distribution of fungi and bacteria in 21 years old Larix gmelinii (ectomycorrhiza) and Fraxinus mandshurica (arbuscular mycorrhiza) plantations in the same site.
