This dataset provides precipitation intensity data for China, with a spatial resolution of 0.25° and a temporal range from 1948 to 2016. The data are distributed in CSV and TIFF formats. This dataset was generated by calculating extreme climate indicators released by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), based on the 0.25° Princeton Global Forcings global climate dataset published by Princeton University. The geographical coverage of this dataset includes the main land areas of China (including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macau Special Administrative Region, and Taiwan Province), excluding regions such as reefs and islands in the South China Sea. CSV-format data can be opened using software such as Microsoft Excel: the first column contains latitude values, the second column contains longitude values, and columns starting from the third column represent the calculated indicator values for each year. TIFF-format data uses the WGS84 coordinate system, with each indicator file containing 69 bands corresponding to the years 1948 to 2016, and can be opened using software such as ENVI.
