The XRD spectra of the powdered RuCeO2 sample and the monolithic RuCeO2 sample in Figure 1 show that the preparation of the monolithic RuCeO2 catalyst and the powdered RuCeO2 catalyst have a significant effect on the crystallinity of the catalyst but have no effect on the diffraction peaks of the catalyst sample. The XRD of the support cordierite shows that its main component is Mg2Al4Si5O18. The XPS spectrum of the monolithic RuCeO2 sample (Figure 2) confirms the presence of the relevant element Ru in RuCeO2. Figure 3 and Figure 4 supplements the high-resolution overview of the relevant spectral regions (C1s, Ru2p) of the material. The SEM image in Figure 5 shows the morphology of the monolithic RuCeO2(Sol-gel) sample after the reaction. The SEM-EDS image in Figure 6 shows that Cl appeared in the RuCeO2(Sol-gel) after the reaction. The figure 7 shows the activity evaluation of the monolithic RuCeO2 catalyst prepared by the sol-gel method at Catalyst loading: 0.2 g; (2) CH3Cl=500 ppm; (3) GHSV=15000h-1; (4) Atmospheric pressure.
