Knowledge Graph 'Bergbeschau: Schwaz / Rottenburg / Rattenberg' Tyrol, 17th Century

The dataset contain a .nq file of a Knowledge Graph that is based on the extracted information / data of the historical document “Bergbeschau Schwaz/Rottenburg/Rattenberg” of the 17th century (approx. 1666). The document is currently stored by the Salinenarchiv Bad Ischl) using the Identifier XXD6.

The dataset also encludes the affiliated RDF files and .csv files.

The user of the KG may explore the mines associated mine sections as well as places of the historical mining areas in the mining district of Schwaz (Falkenstein, Ringenwechsel, Mehren, Reichental, Palleiten) as well as the mining district of Rattenberg (Groß-, Kleinkogel, Geyer).

The ontology used to represent the claims is CIDOC CRM, an ISO certified ontology for Cultural Heritage documentation. Supported by the Karma tool the data is generated as RDF (Resource Description Framework). The generated RDF data is imported into a Triplestore, in this case GraphDB, and then displayed visually. This puts the data from the early mining texts into a semantically structured context and enables the exploration of a historical mining document from another perspective.
