Large Monte Carlo simulated files associated with Coffin et al. (2025). "A Comprehensive Probabilistic Framework for Deriving Microplastic Hazard Thresholds: Development and Application to Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems with ToMEx 2.0 Data." These files are too large to be uploaded with the GitHub repository. They are produced using the associated scripts (i.e., ToMEx2_EcoTox.Rmd; and EcoTox_MonteCarlo.Rmd). Specifically: mat.rds is the Latin Hypercube Sampled (LHS) parameter matrix (e.g., particle alpha values, bioavailability data, etc.) used to generate the Monte Carlo-aligned dataset (n = 589 * 16 parameters; trimmed for realistic tissue translocation sizes < 500 um). sobol_results.rds contains the Monte Carlo-aligned toxicity dataset, with each simulation saved separately. EcoTox_MonteCarlo.Rmd shows how to unpack this dataset to obtain sumamry metrics for SSD-derived thresholds, and repack the data for PSSD++ analysis Files with the "Tier3_" at beginning of their names are PSSD++ output files using the trapezoidal method (300 simulations).
