The Voat.co Dataset was created by the iDRAMA Lab at City, University of London and University College London. It contains over 238 million submissions and 16.2 million comments, covering the entire lifecycle of the Voat platform. The dataset is primarily sourced from Voat, a defunct news aggregation website that once served as a hub for multiple banned subreddits. It encompasses diverse content, including submission titles, body content, metadata, comment content and metadata, as well as profile data of users and subverses. This dataset has a wide range of application domains, supporting research on topics such as fake news dissemination, user interaction network analysis, platform migration, and is particularly applicable to studying behavioral patterns of extremist and hateful communities.
