We conducted a time-course RNA-seq of spinal cord segments at the lesion site without or with hUC-MSC treatment at subacute phase of SCI to identify genes involved in hUC-MSC-mediated recovery Overall design: The compression injury in rat spinal cord was generated by an aneurysm clip with clamping force of 60 g at T10 for 1 min. Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs) were applied intrathecally into thoracic rat SCI models at 7 days post-injury. After transplantation, 5mm segments of spinal cord centered at the lesion site were collected from rats treated with or without hUC-MSCs at 0, 1, 2, 4 weeks post transplantation
