X-RAY EMISSION FROM PTT STARS

Our main scientific goal is to use the capabilities of XMM/RGS to determine thephysical characteristics of the Xray emission (during quiescent and flaringstate) of the visual binary 2RE J024153. This binary is a strong and veryactive Xray emitter, classified as a member of an association of PostTTauristars. Its study (in particular in terms of chemical coposition) is importantfor our understanding of the evolution from the TTauri phase, and to explainthe origin of the Xray emission in young stars.
