The genome library was constructed using the Chromium Genome Reagent Kit v1 Chemistry (10x Genomics), and sequencing was performed with an Illumina HiSeq X to obtain paired-end 151 nt-long reads. De novo genome assembly using the Chromium linked-reads was performed with Supernova ver. 2.0.0 (10x Genomics). <br> Gene model ver. 2.7 was constructed in the three following steps. First, ab initio gene prediction was performed by BRAKER. Second, the information of RNA-seq alignment was directly incorporated into the gene models to improve the coverage of the 3' UTR region of each gene which is not reliably predicted in ab initio gene prediction. Finally, the existing transcript sequences of MusPutFur1.0 available at NCBI RefSeq (GCF_000215625.1) was incorporated into the gene models by mapping their sequences.
