Partial 16S rRNA gene sequences of Haloferax spp. isolated from the hypersaline Hadjer El Melh system (Djelfa, Algeria)

This dataset contains partial and near-full length 16S rRNA gene sequences obtained from prokaryotic isolates cultivated on MSH selective medium from the hypersaline environment of Hadjer El-Melh (Djelfa, Algeria). The sequences were submitted to the NCBI GenBank database under Submission ID SUB15451471 and assigned accession numbers PV916769–PV916785. Taxonomic affiliation based on BLAST analysis indicates that the isolates belong predominantly to the genus Haloferax (Phylum Halobacterota), characteristic of extreme hypersaline environments. These sequences support culture-dependent investigations of halophilic microbial diversity and complement culture-independent 16S rRNA metabarcoding studies conducted at the same site.
