Dynamics and single-cell transcriptomics of circulating immune cell populations in inflammatory bowel disease upon anti-integrin treatment

To explore cellular and transcriptional changes in circulation following vedolizumab treatment in ulcerative colitis patients: investigating inflammatory gene signatures and cell migration patterns predictive of therapeutic responses in IBD We sequenced five age- and sex-matched controls and ten UC patients (n=5 responders and n=5 non-responders) before and six weeks after vedolizumab treatment. Samples sequenced: (1) UC, vedolizumab responders: n=5, 2 time points, week 0 and week 6 after treatment; (2) UC, vedolizumab non-responders: n=5, 2 time points, week 0 and week 6 after treatment; (3) healthy controls: n=5, sex- and age-matched controls. Peripheral blood samples were collected from the above-mentioned patients at specified time points before and during Vedolizumab therapy.
