资源简介:
This library contains the model output (raw files and downscaled raster images) for simulations of 1800 synthetic scenarios of tides and storm surge in coastal North Carolina. The ADvanced CIRCulation (ADCIRC) model was used for the simulations, which used tropical cyclones from the STORM dataset (Bloemendaal 2020) and random tides. The ADCIRC simulations were performed on a modified version of the 'SABv3-60m' mesh (Woodruff 2025), which was cut to include only the floodplains in North Carolina at a minimum resolution of about 60 m. Simulations were performed on TACC Stampede2, Purdue Anvil, and NCSU Hazel, and they required 1,,337,444 CPU-hours. Maps of peak storm tides are included in raw model output files (maxele.63.nc) and as downscaled raster images from Kalpana (https://ccht.ccee.ncsu.edu/kalpana/). This library has been used to train a neural network model to predict the peak storm tides at stations in coastal North Carolina (Cuevas López, in review).
