Using growth and transpiration phenotyping in the lab to select water efficient genotypes from the Bioversity International banana germplasm collection

Plants grown in hydroponics solution in LED conditions (temperature 25°C, RH 75%, 12h/12h light/dark). I) plants are grown for 21 days after which (non-)destructive and images based phenotyping is performed. II) Plants are grown for 6 days on high precision balances registering the system weight every 10s. Related variables are extracted from the cumulative water loss pattern, on a daily basis.
