Data for Figs. 6-13 of Simon et al. (2024) in the ANGSA Special Collection in JGR:Planets. Identification of particles in polished grain mounts of six size fractions in Apollo 17 regolith sample 73002, the upper section of a double drive tube. Abundances of types of particles and mineral compositions are reported. Data were collected with a scanning electron microscope equipped for backscattered electron imaging and quantitative energy dispersive analysis. All data were collected at the University of New Mexico. 73002 is a newly opened sample and this is one of the first published reports of its contents.
