This dataset is derived from the MOD13A2 product of the MODIS Terra satellite, and it generates annual NDVI data with a 1000-meter global spatial resolution spanning from 1982 to 2024 using the Maximum Value Composite (MVC) method. This method selects the maximum NDVI value within each year to effectively suppress the impacts of cloud cover, atmospheric noise and observation angles, thereby optimally reflecting the peak spatial distribution of annual vegetation growth.
