资源简介:
This memorandum is a summary of the activities of the Satellite Field Services Station (SFSS) at Washington, D.C., in connection with the tornado watch of Sunday, May 20, 1973. The procedures used by the SFSS meteorologist in analyzing satellite photographs and issuing satellite narratives relating to the area of suspected severe weather activity are described in detail. The actual Applied Technology Satellite 3 pictures used, the SFSS activity log, and the Satellite narrative messages issued are presented as an illustration of SFSS procedures during a potential or actual severe weather situation.
