Needs and requirements of family carers for support and relief

The study aims to describe the support needs and requirements of family carers of all ages. The survey, conducted throughout Switzerland, seeks answers to the following questions: Who are the family carers? How many are there? What resources do they have at their disposal? What support do they need? Which existing services do they use? What is their health like, and what help do they need themselves? These differentiated insights help us to better understand the needs of family carers. The findings may also be relevant for service planning (see study G01b: Structural Analysis by gfs.bern on the present research mandate G01a, 'Needs and requirements of family carers for support and relief – a population survey').
