Seabed sediment distribution map from Ria de Vigo (Spain) pilot site

This dataset compilation includes two files on seabed sediment distribution in the Vigo Estuary. The file from the EMODnet-Geology project is at a scale of 1:250,000. The file from Vilas et al. (2005) is at a scale of 1:50,000 and was digitised as part of S34I activities. EMODnet-Geology file include 07 classes: Mud, sandy mud, muddy sandy, sand, coarse substrate, mixed sediment, and rock and boulders. Sediment file from Vilas et al. (2005) include 16 classes: Gravel, gravel with mud, gravel with sand, gravel with sand and mud, mud, mud with gravel, mud with sand, mud with sand and scarce gravel, mud with scarce gravel, sand, sand with gravel, sand with gravel and mud, sand with mud and scarce gravel, sand with gravel, sand with mud, and sand with scarce gravel.
