LifeWatch ERIC Metadata Catalogue

The LifeWatch ERIC Metadata Catalogue is a GeoNetwork- based platform for creating, managing and publishing metadata about resources related to biodiversity and ecosystem research. Mainly built on the Ecological Metadata Language 2.2.0, ISO 19139 and European Open Science Cloud standard, it guarantees records are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR). In doing so, it enables structured and standardised information to be openly available, promoting reuse, sharing, and integration by research communities, policymakers, and other stakeholders. It allows users to manage metadata related to six kinds of resources: - Datasets, a subset of EML 2.2.0 standard (77 metadata attributes) - Research Site, a customised ISO19139 standard (20 metadata attributes) - Services, a customised ISO19139 standard (34 metadata attributes) - Virtual Research Environments, a customised ISO19139 standard (24 metadata attributes) - Workflows, a customised ISO19139 standard (24 metadata attributes) - Training Resources, the EOSC training profile (21 metadata attributes)
