Transcriptome of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor-treated neurons

Deep RNA sequencing of primary rat cortical neurons treated with Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) to determine the whole genome response to BDNF. Additional treatments of JAK/STAT inhibitors also included to determine which BDNF-induced gene expression changes are carried out by JAK/STAT pathway activation. The goal of this study is to understand the BDNF-induced JAK/STAT pathway further in normal neuronal function and also to understand the role it may play in epilepsy development.
