This project aims to investigate the composition and dynamics of soil and rhizosphere microbial communities across different successional stages of saline-alkali meadows. Saline-alkali meadow ecosystems exhibit significant differences in plant community structure and soil physicochemical properties as succession progresses, and these changes have profound impacts on the composition and functioning of soil microbial communities.Using high-throughput sequencing technology, we analyzed the soil and rhizosphere microbial community structures across three main successional stages of Songnen saline-alkali meadow, represented by Suaeda glauca, Chloris virgata, and Leymus chinensis. The results showed that as succession progresses, soil physicochemical properties (such as electrical conductivity, pH, and organic carbon content) gradually improve, and the diversity and complexity microbial of communities also increase significantly.In terms of rhizosphere microbiota, plant root exudates and rhizosphere microenvironments play a significant role in shaping microbial community composition. Differences in root exudates among plant species and growth stages lead to specific changes in rhizosphere microbial communities. Additionally, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are particularly important in saline-alkali meadow ecosystems, with their diversity and community structure closely related to the degree of soil salinization and alkalization.The findings of this project not only reveal the compositional characteristics of soil and rhizosphere microbial communities at different successional stages of saline-alkali meadows but also provide a theoretical basis for improving the functionality of saline-alkali meadow ecosystems through microbial technology.
