Zip file containing animations of numerically obtained data based on mathematical models described in chapters 2 and 4 of the thesis. For chapter 2, the motion of a squirmer microswimmer through a lattice of obstacles is shown for different values of the squirming parameter (β) and the lattice packing density (φ). These parameters are sampled at different points in the phase space to highlight the qualitative differences between straight, orbiting, stuck and diffusive trajectories, as defined in the manuscript. For chapter 4, animations of the bundling process of prokaryotic flagella, modelled as a chain of force- and torque-singularities are provided for different lengths and base separation angles of the filaments. The remaining physical parameters are taken from the experimental literature and detailed in the thesis. A pdf with detailed captions for individual videos is included in the zip file.
