Gut Microbiota Alterations as Predictors of Secondary Bacterial Infections in Hospitalized COVID-19 Patients: A Longitudinal Study

This dataset includes 16S rRNA sequencing data from stool and saliva samples collected longitudinally from 250 hospitalized COVID-19 patients. The samples were collected at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) and represent pre-infection, post-infection, and no-infection timepoints related to secondary bacterial infections. Sequencing was performed on an Illumina MiSeq platform. The data support analysis of microbial diversity, taxa abundance, and microbial network structure associated with infection risk.
