We employed DNA microarray to figure out the possible mechanism of BBR on zebrafish NAFLD model AB strain zebrafish (Danio. rerio) were kept under standard laboratory conditions with a 14-h light/10-h dark cycle at a temperature of 28.5±1°C. Embryos and larvae were maintained in embryo medium to 5 dpf without feeding. Zebrafish larvae were fed with control diet (AP100, 30mg/100 fish/day) or high cholesterol diet (HCD, 180mg AP100 plus 4% cholesterol/100fish/day) or HCD plus berberine (5μM) for 10 days.
