<p>3D scan of a bust of the Austrian geologist and first director of the
Natural History Museum Vienna, Ferdinand von Hochstetter (1829–1884).
The bust is made of plaster and is mounted on a dark turned wood base.</p>
<p>The original was commissioned by the Austro-Hungarian Geographical
Society in 1881, which celebrated its 25th anniversary, for its former
president of many years. The bust was made by Viktor Tilgner
(1844–1896).</p>
