Supplementary data for the manuscript titled: "Low-carbon concrete has the potential to meet global urban housing needs by 2050"
收藏资源简介:
This is a supplementary dataset for the Nature Communications Sustainability article titled: "Low-carbon concrete has the potential to meet global urban housing needs by 2050" The dataset includes 9 sheets: 1- A description sheet 2- LCA results. This sheet calculates the cradle-to-2050 embodied carbon for the five material typologies. 3- LCA Annex. This sheet includes the litertaure-based background inventory data for the embodied carbon of all constituent materials. 4- Supply Demand Map. This sheet calculates the supply v. demand balance for biomaterials. 5- Land demand. This sheet calculates the land demand for forest area, for construction a single archetypal housing unit with the timber-CLT and bamboo-LVB material typologies. 6- Carbon Savings. This sheet calculates the potential regional carbon savings from using the ECO concrete, and maximum possible use of CLT and LVB. 7- Carbon Savings sensitivity. This sheet calculates the lower and upper bound values of the overall carbon reductions from the potential supply of each building archetype. 8- Annual production. This sheet includes an 'order of magnitude' estimate for the annual global production of the key materials used in the five material typologies. 9- References. This sheet includes the references included in the dataset.
