Alpine lotic phage (ALP) collection: Sequencing reads and genomes

A genome collection of purified bacteriophages (phages for short) isolated from an alpine stream in Champery, Valais, Switzerland as part of a larger fieldwork expedition to investigate the function and ecology of viruses in streams. Phages were isolated against environmental bacterial species (also derived from streambed biofilms) which were double-purified, amplified in culture, and sequenced.
