Species delimitation in long-nosed armadillos of the genus Dasypus Raw sequence reads. Dasypus

The nine-banded armadillo (Dasypus novemcinctus) is a widespread xenarthran species ranging from South to North America. Recent studies have suggested four morphologically and genetically distinct lineages whose taxonomic status remains uncertain. To address this issue, we sequenced 81 complete mitogenomes and 997 nuclear loci for 71 individuals of Dasypus spp across their entire distribution.
