satisfaction with American policies regarding the FRG; desired
political orientation of the FRG; knowledge about American conditions
in the areas social security, nationalized branches of industry, trade
unions, school system and geographic facts; judgement on the actual
interest of the superpowers in disarmament; assessment of the
superiority of the Americans or the Sowjets; interest in American
culture; contacts with Americans; image of America; party preference;
local residency.

Demography: age (classified); sex; marital status; religious
denomination; school education; occupation; employment; household
income; head of household; refugee status.

Interviewer rating: social class and willingness of respondent to
