Long-read sequencing and genome assembly of Plasmodium falciparum strains using PromethION from Nanopore technologies. Plasmodium falciparum

No study on the whole genome sequencing of the human malaria parasite has been performed using the long reads of Nanopore technologies. The aim of this study was to sequence Plasmodium falciparum clones with the PromethION sequencers and to assemble their whole genome with the new bioinformatics techniques available.
