Prokaryotic and fungal diversity in bulk and rhizosphere soil of Ranunculus glacialis along an high alpine altitudinal gradient

The study describes the community structure of prokaryotes (bacteria and archaea) and fungi in bulk soils along an altitudinal gradient from alpine to nival zones in the Austrian Alps. The microbial community structures and diversities in bulk soils are compared with the community structures and diversities in rhizosphere soils of Ranunculus glacialis along the same gradient.
