Microbial communities can influence the success of oyster hatcheries that produce spat for oyster famers to grow. One source of bacteria is the seawater used throughout the hatchery. In this study we investigated the composition and variability in the microbial communities in the seawater used for raising oyster larvae over two production seasons.
