Ports offering fee differentiation for green vessels in Europe by factor 2019

Among European ports offering fee differentiation for green vessels in 2022, 58 percent of these ports aimed to reward the reduction of air emissions and waste management or segregation. Another 47 percent of ports offered lower dues to vessels with environmental certification. Reduction in noise pollution, in contrast, was rewarded only by 24 percent of ports that had introduced environmental fee differentiation.
